Many thanks to generous farmer Katrina who is making room in her garden for the last lonely orphan ‘Everleaf Emerald Towers’ BASIL plant.

Basil ‘Amethyst Improved’

Basil ‘Mammolo’

Basil and young lemongrass plants need to wait until there is more space on the table. I don’t want to set up a rabbit buffet! Coming soon: cucumbers and melons.

Go to the squash pages: summer, winter, pumpkin.

I know I said that pepper plants are out of stock. Not quite! I have 3 fully mature and fruiting ‘Caribbean Red’ plants in the house which I may drag out today. They were planted last year in mid summer.

THANK YOU to the farmer who adopted the 2 purple tomatillo plants that needed a good home!

Beautiful purple tomatillo fruit.

Squashes and cucumbers are growing in the greenhouse. I have transplanted 3 varieties of green basil and one purple. Melons have sprouted. Next I will be planting beans and sunflowers.

Some flats of tomato plants have had to be outside the greenhouse temporarily to allow me space to work. They are healthy, getting tall and ready to grow!

The tomato plant page is up! All varieties that I will be offering on the farm table are listed.

I’ve been transplanting the first group of tomato plants from mini loaf pans to their own separate 4 inch pots. So far I’ve transplanted 216 little tomatoes. I’ve also transplanted 63 tomatillos and will do dwarf tomatoes next.

The next group nearly ready for transplanting: dwarf tomatoes and tomatillos. The pepper plants and some of the eggplants are under the lights and growing well in their mini loaf pans.

Young tomato plants recently potted up in the and ready to grow! The upcoming warm weather will help.
